Jacqueline Pischorn was born in Graz, Austria and studied singing there at the University of Music and Dramatic Art with Prof. Wolfgang Gamerith. At Trinity College of Music, London she studied with Laureen Livingstone and gained her post-graduate Diploma. Jacqueline attended the Britten-Pears School, working with Oliver Knussen and Rosemary Hardy; she sang Slopiewne, a song-cycle by Szymanowski with Diego Masson.
After engagements with First Act Opera International, Opera Omnibus and Garsington Opera, Jacqueline has specialised in works of the 20th and 21st century and has sung several FIRST PERFORMANCES in London, including a piece by Danny Ledesma: The Emperor of Ice-cream. Jacqueline sang on a Performing Arts Cruise with P&O around the Mediterranean and gave opera concerts and Lieder recitals in Austria, Slovenia and England. She sang Bach, Johannespassion and Schütz, Christmas Story with Portsmouth Baroque Choir. Agreat success was a FIRST PERFORMANCE of a piece (Kyng Orfeo), written for her by Ian Schofield, at TURNER SIMS HALL in Southampton, accompanied by pianist David Owen Norris. Also part of the programme were songs for guitar and voice, which she had also sung with guitarist David Black in Regent Hall, London. Recent appearances in England were at St John's Smith Square in London (St John Passion) and as Venus in Venus and Adonis in Newbury. Jacqueline travels to Austria twice a year where she sings opera and operetta galas in Graz and in the summer music festival of Breitenau, Styria. She gave a Lieder Recital at South Downs College in Portsmouth with songs by Debussy, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Hugo Wolf and Ian Schofield, Kyng Orfeo. Jacqueline sang at St John's Smith Square in London (Mozart Vespers and Haydn Theresienmesse, conductor: James Gaddarn) and in Cadogan Hall in Nov 06 (Mozart Requiem). She sang the part of Anima in La Rappresentazione di Anima e di Corpo in Newbury. In Febuary 07 Jacqueline returned to sing with the Portsmouth Baroque Choir in an evening with Handel's music (Chandos anthems). As part of the Chichester Festival Jacqueline sang the part of the Angel in Handel's Jephtha with The Consort of Twelve under Paul Esswood. Jacqueline works as a singing teacher for the Berkshire Maestros and has been the German Language Coach for the ROYAL WELSH COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND DRAMA since January 2004. Recently she has coached singers in Welsh National Opera and notable UK choirs in German pronunciation.

Jacqueline worked as German language coach for WELSH NATIONAL OPERA's production of Salome in spring 2009.
